The Management Steering Group (MSG) is a joint body between the Scottish Government Health Directorate (SGHD) and NHS Scotland Employers, established to discuss strategic Service and consequential Workforce issues. It also forms the ‘Management Side’ of any bi-lateral and multi-lateral pay bargaining events in Scotland and is the forum whereby the Scottish position on UK matters can be discussed and representation agreed. It reports through its Chair to the regular meetings of the NHS Scotland Chief Executive’s Group and SGHD.
