Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions Handbook
There has been an updated version of the NHS Scotland AfC Handbook placed on the MSG website. This was updated as at 25 October 2023.
NHS Scotland – Employer Pension Contributions (REC) Scheme
The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care wrote to Boards devolving powers to utilise local flexibilities within NHS Pension arrangements, including the option of ‘pension recycling’ to assist with maintaining service delivery. A Task and Finish Group was established comprising of stakeholders from the Service, SPPA, Scottish Government and MSG who produced a revised scheme for pension re-cycling based on the previous 2019 arrangements. The Scheme has now been signed off for issue by MSG and is now available for Boards to use with immediate effect, utilising the provisions outlined in the Scheme and associated documentation in the interests of achieving a consistent approach across NHS Scotland.
